Jacqueline Kish, PhD, OTR/L
About Me
Jacqueline completed her PhD in Disability Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago studying people with disabilities' experiences on public transportation using accessible and participatory methods. She is trained as an occupational therapist with 15 years of clinical experience and her relationship with her disabled sister has impacted her career trajectory and advocacy work. She is an active contributor to the Disability Studies and Occupational Therapy Network seeking to integrate diverse perspectives and the social model of disability into occupational therapy practice, research and education. As a researcher, Jacqueline hopes to impact access and opportunities for people with disabilities to live and participate in their communities and is excited to contribute to research on Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).
