Stacy Chrzastowski, M.S., CCC-SLP is a 嫩B研究院 Speech-Language Pathologist in the Center for Aphasia 嫩B研究院 and Treatment at Shirley Ryan 嫩B研究院. Stacy received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Northeastern University. Upon completing her clinical fellowship in 2016, Stacy began working at Shirley Ryan 嫩B研究院. She worked clinically at the DayRehab level of care where she advanced to a Level II Senior Speech-Language Pathologist and the Clinical Team Lead. At the DayRehab level of care, she was responsible for evaluation, treatment and interdisciplinary collaboration for adult and pediatric populations with acquired brain injury. She was also responsible for leadership of a clinical team comprised of physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists. In 2021, Stacy accepted a role at the main hospital in Chicago in the Center for Aphasia 嫩B研究院 and Treatment. Currently, Stacy is a primary evaluator for the ongoing study titled Defining Trajectories for Cognitive-Communicative and Quality of Life Outcomes in Aphasia. Additionally, Stacy currently leads multiple aphasia groups. Stacy has presented innovative research practices through poster presentation and seminar format at the American Speech and Hearing Association Conference, the Illinois Speech and Hearing Association Conference, the AphaisaAccess Conference and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine Conference. Her research interests include outcome measures for patients with aphasia, recruitment and retention of research participants, aphasia-friendly modification practices as well as evaluation and treatment of patients diagnosed with stroke.
