Facilitating Adjustment to Spinal Cord Injury
Description: This program presents a perspective regarding normal adjustment to spinal cord injury and a framework for conceptualizing how treatment team members can be of help to the spinal cord injured individual. Pragmatic suggestions will be provided for integrating theory with practice.

Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

Identify aspects of adjustment to spinal cord injury that are common to
many individuals

Discuss the psychosocial factors that influence adjustment to spinal injury both during and following the rehabilitation process
- Identify potential treatments or therapeutic responses that can be used by the treatment team to facility the adjustment of the individual who has sustained a spinal cord injury
