DESCRIPTION
Dip your toes into the pool of possibilities with aquatic therapy! This webinar will introduce learners to the properties and benefits of water, indications, contraindications and precautions for aquatic therapy for your patients along with considerations for varying levels of care, diagnosis and age. Along with evidence-based practice and video demonstrations of aquatic therapeutic exercise, this webinar will conclude with an interdisciplinary panel to highlight how each discipline can incorporate aquatics into their practice.
LEARNER OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Define the key principles of water and their therapeutic benefits in aquatic therapy
- Identify contraindications, precautions and indications of aquatic therapy to ensure safe and effective practice
- Describe essential aquatic therapy concepts and protocols while demonstrating their effective integration to improve patient outcomes and/or participation in preferred activities.
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Participants will be present during the live webinar in its entirety and complete an attendance verification and assessment in the Academy Learning Portal within one month of the live air date.
