Managing Your Career in Healthcare
Description: With a full patient load, charting, team challenges or research, sometimes the focus on your own career and personal goals floats to the bottom of the list. In this 60-minute discussion with Professor Holly Raider, from the Kellogg School of Management, we will dive into strategies and approaches you can put into practice to actively manage your career in healthcare. We will explore how you identify and leverage your strengths and build cumulative leadership skills. We will also discuss networking, and mentorship. Finally, we will explore what to do when you get off track, or experience a failure, and how to rebound.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe your personal leadership principles, personal assets and how those align with your ultimate career goals
- Use the leadership art of asking good questions
- Identify how to use social capital for individual career development or organizational effectiveness
- Describe how to build a network if you are an Introvert
