Description:
This symposium, developed in conjunction with North American Spine Society (NASS) and Shirley Ryan 嫩B研究院, offers an in-depth exploration of pelvic girdle and sacroiliac joint (SIJ) physical examination options. Designed for experienced practitioners, it combines practical demonstrations, expert debates, and interactive sessions to enhance diagnostic skills in these areas. The event emphasizes the SIJ examination from the perspective of operative and non-operative spine care providers and integrates case studies and expert panels. This collaborative symposium offers a unique educational experience that bridges theory with the demands of clinical practice.

Date & Location: This course is held in-person on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 (5:00 - 6:30 PM) at Shirley Ryan 嫩B研究院 355 E Erie St. Chicago, IL 60611. 10th Floor Auditoriums.

Successful Completion: To successfully complete this course, participants will need to attend the live activity, attest to your attendance and complete an evaluation at the conclusion of the course through the Academy Learning Portal. All course work must be completed by October 8, 2024.

 

Learner Outcomes: Upon completion of this event, participants should gain strategies to:

  • Enhance physical examination skills in pelvic girdle and SIJ assessments through hands-on demonstrations and expert-led debates.
  • Analyze and compare various evaluation tools, including the concepts surrounding repeated movement testing in the lumbar spine and sacroiliac joint, in the evaluation of posterior pelvic pain
  • Apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios, with a focus on interprofessional approaches.
  • Synthesize case examples into clinical practice for deeper understanding and practical application.
  • Collaborate and engage in knowledge exchange among specialists to enhance interprofessional learning and professional growth.
