Objective
Neuromuscular mechanisms of specific interventions on trunk for children with cerebral palsy.
The primary purpose for this study is to determine the effects of a robotic training on trunk control and walking ability in children with cerebral palsy. We want to understand if repeated application of perturbation force to the trunk and pelvis during walking or sitting may improve trunk control and walking ability.
Who Can Participate
Ages between 4-16, Spastic Diplegia CP, GMFCS Level I, II, or III, can walk independently with or without assistive device, Able to follow directions, Able to tolerate walking for >10 minutes, Able to tolerate walking on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes with rest breaks, Orthotics that do not cross the knees (AFO ok)
Compensation
Accepted participants can earn $40
