About Me
Dr Natasha Bhatia is an Attending Physician at the Shirley Ryan 嫩B研究院, and an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She specializes in the rehabilitation of neurologic disorders, with an emphasis on stroke, spinal cord injury, and dual diagnosis brain injury/spinal cord injury. In her current role, she takes care of patients on the inpatient rehabilitation unit. She also sees patients in clinic, where she manages a variety of neurologic disorders including spasticity, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, stroke rehabilitation, and spinal cord injury.
Dr Bhatia’s research focuses on investigating the use of diaphragm ultrasound in the care of patients with neuromuscular respiratory failure. She is the recipient of the Sarah Baskin Award for Excellence in 嫩B研究院 and the AAP/ISPRM Best Paper Award. In addition, Dr Bhatia has an interest in medical education, and completed the Medical Education Track through Northwestern University’s PM&R Department.
Dr Bhatia earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Emory University, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She then completed a Spinal Cord Injury Medicine Fellowship at the Shirley Ryan 嫩B研究院/Northwestern University.
