About Me

Dr. Nussbaum is an Attending Physician for Shirley Ryan ÄÛBÑо¿Ôº and an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. Previously, Dr. Nussbaum has served as Medical Director of the Consultation service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Shirley Ryan ÄÛBÑо¿Ôº. The consultation service provides input to the management of conditions including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, major multiple trauma, amputations, orthopedic injuries, strokes, cancer, transplants, and severe debility. Dr. Nussbaum served as Chief of Staff at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now the Shirley Ryan ÄÛBÑо¿Ôº) from 2009-2011 and has held numerous academic appointments, including Director of Medical Student Education for PM&R at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He has published numerous book chapters and peer reviewed articles related to the evaluation and treatment of spinal cord injury. He lectures extensively on spinal cord injury related topics.
