Blair Hu, a graduate student researcher at the Center for Bionic Medicine, successfully defended his PhD thesis on October 17. Blair's thesis, “Applying Sensor Fusion and Deep Learning to Discover Robust Representations of Movement Intention for Powered Leg Prostheses,” describes new techniques to integrate human movement data to improve the control of powered lower-limb assistive devices. Congratulations, Dr. Hu!
