Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes 嫩B研究院 (CROR) 嫩B研究院 Scientist Alex Wong, PhD, DPhil, OT, CRC, is the new Chair of the (M-ISIG). Wong became Chair at the 2023 ACRM Annual Meeting held in Atlanta from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2. 

Wong, who is also Associate Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Medical Social Sciences in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, takes the reins from outgoing Chair Linda Ehrlich-Jones, PhD, RN, FACRM, Associate Director of CROR. Allen Heinemann, PhD, FACRM, Director of CROR, was the Founding Chair of this group.

Wong will serve for two years and looks forward to building the measurement capacity in rehabilitation medicine by engaging ACRM members to join the M-ISIG, developing new task force topics benefiting individuals with disabilities and promoting knowledge exchanges across ACRM community groups and professionals. 

Wong's research focuses on developing, evaluating and sustainably implementing technology-based approaches to study, assess, and treat neurological disorders. He is also interested in developing therapeutic tools for the longitudinal measurement of patient outcomes and personalized and timely models of treatment delivery.

The mission of M-ISIG is to produce and synthesize evidence of psychometrically advanced and improved measurement that enhances patient care and influences healthcare policy.
