About Me

Grace Hoo is interested in the study of alternative strategies to reduce tremor, e.g., in individuals with essential tremor or Parkinson’s disease. She is exploring how sensory stimulation can be exploited to modulate tremor amplitude. She also has an interest in the durable medical equipment ordering workflow and investigating ways to streamline the process, in particular for ordering complex wheelchairs.

Grace earned her biomedical engineering degree in Bioengineering from the University of Chicago, 2013, and earned her Masters in Applied Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, 2022. She currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Neurorehabilitation and Neural Engineering Lab, led by Dr. José L. Pons, of the Legs + Walking Lab at the Shirley Ryan 嫩B研究院.
