About Me

Kate DeMarco joined Shirley Ryan ÄÛBÑо¿Ôº (formerly Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago) in 2006. She began her career with us as a speech-language pathologist on the pediatric unit, where she specialized in pediatric dysphagia, burn recovery and ventilator liberation. She has served the organization in many roles, including as program specialist and clinical manager of the inpatient and outpatient pediatric programs.

Kate is committed to making sure patients ¡ª particularly our youngest patients ¡ª have access to world-class care. As an admission liaison, she supports patients in making decisions about rehabilitation care, and uses her extensive rehabilitation experience to help patients and families throughout the admission process. She is particularly passionate about sharing how Shirley Ryan ÄÛBÑо¿Ôº offers patients the best chance at achieving their best outcomes.

Kate lives with her family outside of Nashville, Tenn. She enjoys exploring new places and DIY projects.
